Living as close as I do to Whitby on the North Yorkshire coast, I've long been aware of Goth and Steampunk as the town now hosts twice-yearly dedicated weekends for each sub-culture. They've developed into globally popular events and are great fun, characterised by lots of elaborate fashion and music.
