'Galaxa'

Rather like the actual universe itself, 'Galaxa' was the result of its own mini 'Big Bang' following my digital development of an image I took of the Christmas lights adorning the table in my conservatory. It was about 6.00am on a very dark December morning and they were the only lights I had turned on at that moment and I thought how lovely they looked. I just took an unplanned photo of them without flash and was rewarded with an amazing chaos of brightly coloured diffused blobs interspersed with incredibly intense black voids. In that moment I instantly thought of space and the universe and 'Galaxa' seemed duly appropriate.
