'The First Resort' Enhanced Photo

Scarborough was the UK's first seaside resort and which resulted from the discovery in 1626 of a mineral water spring in the cliffs where the latest incarnation of the Spa is now sited. This attracted wealthy 'health' tourists and which spawned a thriving hotel and visitor economy. The Grand Hotel was opened in July 1860 to cater for the substantial Victorian visitor influx and which has four corners, twelve floors and 365 rooms reflecting the annual characteristics of seasons, months and days. It was the biggest hotel in Europe when it opened.

All TVFMR fine art prints and canvases are available framed or unframed.

A 12 colour giclée process is used to print both fine art and canvas editions.

In the case of framed fine art prints, images are printed onto museum-grade paper which has a gently textured surface. Unframed fine art prints are printed onto Hahnemühle Rag paper, a fabulous cotton rag with a lovely soft feel and light felt texture which provides a subtle three-dimensional appearance and impressive pictorial depth.

Canvas prints are 38mm deep and printed onto finely textured artist-grade cotton canvas and finished with ‘museum wrapped’ edges meaning that the image covers the whole visible surface with edges finished plain white.
